Tap classes are designed to develop rhythm, style, and sound. Students will learn a variety of tap styles from Broadway to Rhythm tap. Exercises focus on building flexibility of the knee and ankles, coordination and speed of movement. Emphasis is on developing proper tap techniques, producing clear tap sounds and having fun. As students progress through each level, the curriculum will increase in complexity and intricacy.
Students will automatically be cast in our end of year recital, Thumbelina!
Auditions for lead roles in Thumbelina are during class times the week of January 27- 31, 2020. Callbacks Saturday 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.
Students are also eligible to audition for our mainstage musical Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe performed March 19-21, 2020!
