Broadway Beauty: Hair and Makeup Design for Stage

Tuesdays 5-6pm
Ages 10+

Students will learn the basics of stage makeup. Students will also learn basics such as single braids and French braids. Students will get to assist with hair and makeup for Trilogy's productions of The Sound of Music, Beauty and the Beast, and Alice in Wonderland Cirque. There will be a showcase at the end of the semester to share their talents and what they have learned. There will be a $15 supply fee due at the first class to cover materials.

Musical Theatre Beauty and the Beast

Discover the world of Musical Theatre as our students master the trifecta of singing, dancing, and acting! Geared towards our youngest participants, this class provides foundational training in proper vocal skills, stage knowledge, theatre etiquette, introductory movement and acting, along with simple choreography. Join Miss Morgan for a delightful experience featuring iconic Disney classic songs and scenes from "Beauty and the Beast"!

Students will perform in a class showcase in the Colby Theatre at the end of the semester. Students are also encouraged to audition for our musical theatre productions of The Sound of Music (auditions Jan 19, callbacks Jan 20, shows March 21-24) and Beauty and the Beast (auditions Feb 16, callbacks Feb 17, shows April 18-21).

Musical Theatre Greatest Show Tuesdays

Welcome to our dynamic Musical Theatre Class, where students embark on a journey to master the art of singing, dancing, and acting. Our comprehensive curriculum covers the essentials of proper vocal skills, stage knowledge, basic choreography, as well as the fundamentals of theatre movement and acting.
With a spotlight on the 'Greatest Show' theme, students will dive into the iconic music of the greatest musicals, mastering pieces that showcase the diversity and grandeur of musical theatre. Join us on this exciting journey to unleash your full potential in the world of Musical Theatre.

Advanced Musical Theatre- Best of Broadway

Tuesdays 6-7pm

Ages 8-18

Musical Theatre students in this class will take their training to a higher level in singing, dancing and acting. All fundamentals will be reinforced, while adding more complex study in all three genres.

Students will show off their hard work while performing to a variety of Broadway's greatest hits in a class showcase in the Colby Theatre at the end of the semester. Students are also encouraged to audition for our musical theatre productions of The Sound of Music (auditions Jan 19, callbacks Jan 20, shows March 21-24) and Beauty and the Beast (auditions Feb 16, callbacks Feb 17, shows April 18-21).

**Students in this Musical Theatre class are required to also be enrolled in Tap and Jazz dance classes as we will be focusing on advanced training for the musical theatre stage!

Acting 1- Welcome to the Young Stars Acting Academy

Tuesdays 7-8pm
Ages 8-12

Acting 1 serves as the cornerstone of a student's journey toward becoming a proficient stage actor. The course emphasizes key aspects such as character development, engaging with others, honing physical awareness, concentration, memorization, imagination, and trust-building. Additionally, students will delve into theater etiquette and gain valuable theatrical knowledge. (A script fee of approximately $15 will apply.)

Makeup Magic Session 1

Wednesdays 5-6pm

Makeup is not a mask, it's a form of art! Come join Makeup Magic and have fun creating magical makeup looks! We will learn how to recreate makeup based on beloved Disney characters, animals, and fantasy creatures. We will work with makeup, facepaints, jewels and glitter! If your child loves makeup this class is for you!

A one time supply fee of $10 will be due at the first class to cover materials. This is a 6 week course, running January 10 through February 14. A second session will be offered after this one Feb 26-April 8.

Musical Theatre Kids (4-7)

Would you like to learn all the ins and outs that happen behind the scenes? This Tech Workshop class with Mr. Chris will go over the technical aspects that make any good show a GREAT show! You can't have theatre without tech!

This master class is by audition only for vocalists that are at a level of skill to include complex harmonies, acapella work and much more! All serious vocalists are invited to audition for this special 90 minute class. Auditions are by appointment only. Please contact the office for more details.

Solos and Duets places emphasis on vocal prowess! Whether singing individually or harmonizing with others, cultivating your voice is paramount. Students will delve into essential skills such as breathing techniques, maintaining proper singing posture, and much more!

Calling all students aged 10 and above to join our Musical Theatre class! This specialized training hones in on essential vocal skills, including harmony and counterpoint execution, working together, proper warm ups, and taking care of your voice. Perform to the tunes of the world-renowned musical "Hamilton" as you showcase your skills. Whether you're a stage novice or a seasoned performer, don't miss out on this exceptional class!

Musical Theatre students do it all! Join Miss Tasia for excellent training and tons of fun as students study the arts of singing, dancing and acting set to the music of Disney favorite- DESCENDANTS! Students will be taught the basics in proper vocal skills, trained in stage knowledge and etiquette, theatre movement and acting, as well as learning musical theatre choreography.

Look Like a Star: Fashion Sketching and Costume Design

Thursdays 5:30-6:30pm
Ages 9+

Love all things fashion? Then this class is for you! Students will learn and practice sketching fashion forms. We will look at iconic fashion from the 1900s-2000. Students will help create costume pieces for Trilogy's productions of The Sound of Music, Beauty and the Beast, and Alice in Wonderland Cirque.

We will host a gallery style show at the end of the semester to showcase the student's talents and new skills. A supply fee of $10 will be due at the first class to cover supplies.

MUSICAL THEATRE SR.- Journey to the Past

Ages 13+

Alongside these, the class emphasizes theatre etiquette and deepens knowledge about the theatrical craft. Join us as we continue to enhance your journey toward becoming a accomplished and versatile actor on the stage!

Runway Ready

Makeup is art; beauty is spirit. Runway Ready students will explore and practice various beauty looks. We will learn to apply age appropriate makeup, current makeup trends, and create fun and striking runway looks. Students in this class will have the opportunity to assist with hair and makeup for Trilogy's productions of The Sound of Music, Beauty and the Beast, and Alice in Wonderland.

A supply fee of $15 will be due at the first class to cover materials. Students will participate in a final showcase at the end of the semester to share their talents and new skills.

Comedic Acting Through IMPROV

Join this delightfully entertaining and creatively charged acting class! Participants will master the art of improvisation, learning to act without a script and think quickly on their feet—all while enjoying a lively experience every week. Laughter, a fantastic form of therapy, meets the invaluable acting technique of Improv, a skill beneficial for everyone. In the unpredictable realm of live theatre, improvisational skills are indispensable, fostering confidence and creativity in every actor!
