"Broadway Beauty: Wizard of Oz"

Tuesdays 5-6pm
Ages 7-12

Unleash your creativity and transform the ordinary into the extraordinary with "Broadway Beauty: The Wizard of Oz!" This comprehensive course delves into the art, science and safety of stage makeup, equipping you with the skills to create stunning looks that captivate audiences. This class is specifically themed with focus on stage make up for the many looks and characters seen on stage in the classic "Wizard of Oz!" There will be a showcase at the end of the semester to share their talents and what they have learned.

There will be a $15 supply fee due at the first class to cover materials. Students are also encouraged to audition for The Gala of Oz, October 26 & 27 a Cirque and Dance Production and our musical theatre production, Narnia the Musical, performing November 21-24! Production fees for shows are an additional $225.00 per show if cast.

Musical Theatre: Best of Elf the Musical

Musical Theatre students learn how to do it all- sing, dance and act while performing to the most popular songs from "Wizard of Oz." Students will be taught the basics in proper vocal skills, trained in stage knowledge and etiquette, theatre movement and acting, as well as learning musical theatre choreography.
Students will perform in a class showcase in the Colby Theatre at the end of the semester.

Musical Theatre Jr. The Wizard of Oz

Welcome to our dynamic Musical Theatre Class, where students embark on a journey to master the art of singing, dancing, and acting. Our comprehensive curriculum covers the essentials of proper vocal skills, stage knowledge, basic choreography, as well as the fundamentals of theatre movement and acting.
With selections from the timeless "Wizard of Oz", students will dive into the iconic music of one of the greatest musicals, mastering pieces that showcase a variety of characters! Join us on this exciting journey to unleash your full potential in the world of Musical Theatre. Students will perform in a class showcase in the Colby Theatre at the end of the semester.

Advanced Musical Theatre- BEST OF SEUSSICAL! (BY AUDITION ONLY (Aug 10)- Jazz and Tap Enrollment Required)

**Auditions for this class will be held Saturday, August 10th, 10-11:00am** (Any students not selected will be placed in the Musical Theatre (or other genre) class of their choice.)

Musical Theatre students in this class will take their training to a higher level in singing, dancing and acting with Miss Tasia. All fundamentals will be reinforced, while adding more complex study in all three genres. Students will show off their hard work while performing to Suessical's greatest hits in a class showcase held in the Colby Theatre at the end of the semester.

Students are also encouraged to audition for The Gala of Oz, a Cirque and Dance Production and our musical theatre production, Narnia the Musical! Production fees for shows are an additional $225.00 per show if cast.

**Students in this Musical Theatre class are required to also be enrolled in Tap and Jazz dance classes as we will be focusing on advanced training for the musical theatre stage!

Geared towards our youngest artists, this class provides foundational training in proper vocal skills, stage knowledge, theatre etiquette, introductory movement and acting, along with simple choreography. Would you like to learn all the ins and outs of lighting and sound that happen behind the scenes? This Tech Workshop class with Mr. Chris will go over the technical aspects that make any good show a GREAT show! You can't have great theatre without great tech! This is a limited offering, so be sure to take advantage of this workshop class this semester!

This master class, taught by Mr. Chris, is by audition only for vocalists that are at a level of skill to include complex harmonies, acapella work and much more! All serious vocalists are invited to audition for this special 90 minute class.

Solos and Duets places emphasis on vocal prowess! Whether singing individually or harmonizing with others, cultivating your voice is paramount. Students will delve into essential skills such as breathing techniques, maintaining proper singing posture, performance skills and much more! This semester's songs will be a selection of Disney favorites from both the stage and screen! If you love to sing, and want to take your training to a higher vocal level- this is the class for you!

This class will provide specialized training in essential vocal skills, including harmony and counterpoint execution, working together, proper warm ups, and taking care of your voice. Perform to the tunes of this world-renowned musical as you showcase your skills. Whether you're a stage novice or a seasoned performer, don't miss out on this exceptional class!

Acting 1 serves as the cornerstone of a student's journey toward becoming a proficient stage actor. The course emphasizes key aspects such as character development, engaging with others, honing physical awareness, concentration, memorization, imagination, and trust-building. Additionally, students will delve into theater etiquette and gain valuable theatrical knowledge. This semester's class will be showcasing their training through material of Disney's amazing "Inside Out."

Join us for this class- a special offering just this semester- training students in the world of fashion design- where our art is wearable! Join Miss Victoria as she guides you through the building blocks of taking your fashion visions from a dream to a reality!

A supply fee of $15 will be due at the first class to cover materials. Students will participate in a final showcase at the end of the semester to share their created art through fashion.

This course delves deeper into character development, refining interactive and reactive techniques, and honing skills such as physical awareness, concentration, memorization, imagination, and trust building.
Join us as we continue to enhance your journey toward becoming a accomplished and versatile actor on the stage! This class will present their skills by performing scenes in a class showcase in the Colby Theatre at the end of the semester. (A script fee of approximately $15 will apply.)
