Physical Comedy & Clowning

Expand and refine your acting skills! Through ensemble exercises based in improvisational movement techniques, students develop many essential skills. Theatrical Clowning is an art
form that requires rigorous training, discipline, and skill. Students will learn more than just how to be funny on stage. They will learn the importance of presence, comedic timing, vulnerability,
and discovery. The study of physical comedy and theatrical clowning teaches us many things about ourselves as performers. This class will strip away layers of self-consciousness, giving the actor the gift of freedom and authenticity on the stage. Students are also eligible to audition for our Winter production, Beauty & The Beast!
